Jhansi  city, situated between the rivers Pahunj and Betwa is a symbol of bravery, courage and self respect. It is said that in ancient times Jhansi was a part of the regions Chedi Rashtra, Jejak Bhukit, Jajhoti and Bundelkhand. Jhansi was a stronghold of the Chandela kings. Balwant Nagar was the name of this place. But in 11th. century Jhansi lost its importance. In 17th. century under Raja Bir Singh Deo of Orchha Jhansi again rose to prominence. Raja Bir Singh Deo had good relations with the mughal emperor Jehangir. In 1613 Raja Bir Singh Deo constructed the Jhansi fort. He died in 1627. After his death his son Jujhar Singh succeeded him. Maharaja Chattrasal Bundela of Panna was a good administrator and a brave warrior. In 1729 Mohammed Khan Bangash attacked Chattrasal.    - The Great masjid in Kufa . Yes one of the holiest shrines on shiite (followers of Ali Ibn Abi Talib) muslims is located in Kufa close to Najaf in Iraq. This masjid hold a significant importance for the Shiite muslims, because it was the place where Ameer ul Mumineen (the commander of the faithfuls) was martyred on 19th of Ramadan. The masjid has been restored to its past glory after close to 1400 years of neglect. Fatimah bint Muhammad

  Fatimah   (born between 605 and 615 CE, died sometime in 632 CE; date of   death   is disputed) was the youngest daughter of the Islamic   Prophet Muhammad   (l. 570-632 CE) and his first wife Khadija (l. 555-619 CE). Taking up after her father, Fatimah became highly spiritual and devoted to   Islam . Fatimah was married to   Ali ibn Abi Talib   (l. 601-661 CE), a cousin of Prophet   Muhammad , in 624 CE, and the marriage lasted until the end of her days.
