Dr Aftab Qureshi’s killing

 HYDERABAD: One of the main suspects in the murder case of neurosurgeon Dr Aftab Ahmed Qureshi has accused the police of killing the doctor during the raid conducted for his recovery from kidnappers. “The police thought they have shot a dacoit,” claimed Dr Ashok Kumar, on Monday. He was talking to newsmen while being taken away in a police mobile from the civil court. He had been brought for identification by his landlord. Kumar, who the police say is a quack, was arrested by Karachi’s Citizens-Police Liaison Committee and the Anti-Violent Crime Cell on May 30. He was staying with his mother, Kamla Devi, on the ground floor while Qureshi was on the first floor of the house. Abida Parveen   (Sindhi)   born 20 February 1954  is a Pakistani  singer, composer and musician of Sufi Music. She is also a painter and entrepreneur. Parveen is one of the highest paid singers in Pakistan. Her singing and music has earned her many accolades, and she has been dubbed as the ' Queen of Sufi music'.
